Log onto the copicmarker.com website, click on instructors, type in FL and you will find me listed as one of the newly certified Copic instructors for Imagination International. There are now 2 certifications for Copic, one for beginners, that gives you the basics and foundation needed to be an instructor and an intermediate one that takes your art to the next level. After 6 months of constant Copic you can apply to the intermediate certification. I am at least a year away from hoping to do that, for now, I am happy dipping my toes into the pool. Since my certification class last month with Colleen Schaan I have worked on my practice techniques and have actually only completed one card. Hope you like it...

One Year Ago...
With a handful of colors to choose from I started my Copic journey. That was one year ago, this month. I signed up for an online class through "My Creative Classroom" called Everything Copic with Colleen Schaan. This was the first piece I colored after the class was over and I had 12 weeks of Copic knowledge. I did my shading with single colors since I didn't have one of every shade to choose from at the time. Not bad...not great...average. Just like anything else that you want to excel in, it takes a lot of practice and study to learn the true art of Copics. There are a lot of good Copic artists out there and some that are just average. My goal is to be one of the good ones. So it's practice, practice, practice...

Gearing Up For Copic Adventures!
Last year I took this great online course called "Everything Copic" with Colleen Schaan. I am starting this blog in preparation for my big leap. You see, I am one week away from taking my Copic certification. It just happens, that Colleen is the instructor for the southeast and will be doing the certifications. I get to meet my online teacher face to face and hopefully get my certification. What does this mean in the big scheme of things? Well, it means that I will be certified to teach the art of Copics. I am starting this new blog to post my Copic endeavors as I begin this creative journey.
